In this Lunch and Learn, Ann McCluskey – known as the 4D Coach on her LinkedIn profile – explains how to navigate huge change and tough times without becoming derailed and caught up in the drama.

Running a business draws on a number of resources if it's to run smoothly – but it can only thrive if YOU thrive. No matter how much you try to stretch time, it's a limited resource that you can’t control.

Your energy is different – you can expand it or dial it down to create a balance in a world that changes at a rate of knots. It's never been more important to be able to adapt. Paying attention to where you put your energy will make a huge difference to you and your business.

Key takeaways from this session:

  • How your energy works and how to control it

  • Simple takeaway tips to optimise your energy

  • How to avoid the slippery slope of burnout

Finding True North

Originally from Scotland, I now live in a rural village on the edge of Dartmoor and close to the border with Cornwall. After the Scottish Highlands, I have the best of the ‘blue green’ landscape on my doorstep. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to strengthen my lifelong love of nature – which enables me to live a life I love. I am a Coach-Practitioner and Founder of ‘Finding True North’ – ‘when the world’s compass is broken’ – created during lockdown in 2020 as I saw a growing need to provide support that was more holistic than currently available. With a career of 30+ years in a range of business sectors, I have led change with and through people and know first-hand the stresses and strains of a high-octane corporate life. One of many hard lessons I have learned is that putting yourself first is far from selfish – it is absolutely essential. I prepare clients to futureproof themselves – mind, body, and soul – for uncertain times and fear of the unknown within an ever-changing world, in order to find a balance that works for them and brings purpose back into their lives. That balance is often found in nature and I teach individuals, business owners, and organisations to see with fresh eyes.
