The objectives of this training course are to enable delegates to meet the requirements of the National Occupational Standards Environmental Technologies Units:

Understand the requirements to install, commission and handover solar photovoltaic systems
Install, commission and handover solar photovoltaic systems
Understand the requirements to inspect, service and maintain solar photovoltaic systems
Inspect, service and maintain solar photovoltaic systems

The course contains the following sections:

Photovoltaic systems in the context of renewable technologies
How a Photovoltaic System works – principles and components
Design of a PV system
Installation of a PV system
Commissioning and client hand-over
Maintenance and fault-finding

Practical and theory training: This course is a blend of both practical and theory sessions to allow delegates to practice the skills and knowledge gained during the course before assessment.
