Are you a business owner? Would you consider taking your business overseas? Business growth can take place anywhere and information is key.

Small Business Research + Enterprise Centre provides key business data for different types of business growth and in this talk, we will look at import and export using Global Trade Tracker, Cobra and Exporters Almanac.

Global Trade Tracker is an import and export database that gives detailed commodity trade statistics (value, volume, price) covering over 110 countries with monthly and yearly data from 2002 to date. Andy Hayter from Global Trade Tracker will offer a demonstration and answer questions on how to make the best use of this fantastic resource.

COBRA is a business start-up information resource that includes factsheets guiding import and export, including using a freight forwarder and export documentation.

Exporters Almanac provides links to worldwide industry directories, international trade organisations and business networks, as well as country profiles and e-commerce advice.

Business adviser, Wendy Foster, will show you how to navigate the two databases and find the import and export guidance that you need. These and other resources are available to you with an SBREC membership. Your membership will give you access to specialist business data from anywhere in the UK!
